Last night I went to a free showing of Clerks in Marine Park in Red Bank, NJ. It was sponsored by Netflix's rolling road show and Kevin Smith was there for a Q&A session before the showing. It was pretty cool, I am a Kevin Smith fan, but some people are real fanatics. You should have heard some of the questions. Some geeks asked his opinion on Superman returns, comic books, and other super heros, and if Ben Afflect is a douche bag. Others asked him to call their friends who could not make it, for jobs, and to read their screen plays (man can you imagine the nerve). But Kevin Smith was a cool guy and pretty much went along with everything, it does not seem Hollywood has changed him much. He seems very down to earth and approachable.The Q&A went on until it was dark enough to show the movie. Then Clerks played; there were few technical difficulties but all in all it was a good time. I had not seen Clerks in awhile and it was great! One of my favorite lines has to be "Don't suck any dicks on the way to the parking lot." Great movie, and if you have not seen it you better get over the Netflix and rent it pronto! This is a must see, especially if you are from NJ.
If you have never gone to a movie outdoors in the summertime I highly recommend it! Red Bank does it every Tuesday night in the summer and I think Hoboken has movies in the park too!
