Whoa! Sugar Rush....

In celebration of Turkey Day this week my company has passed out chocolate turkeys today. I promised myself I would wait till tomorrow to eat it, but I just came back from a meeting and needed a little pick-me-up. Unfortunatly I ate the whole thing and now I am sitting at my desk with a huge sugar rush....damn that chocolate turkey............I think I'm crashing now :(

The End of An Era

So it’s official! This past weekend I moved out and I’m on my own again and it is great! I will have to say that I will miss my roommates (my sister’s Suzanne & Jeanette) no one will ever know you as well as your siblings.
Moving is a bitch but luckily I had lots of help from my family loading and unloading.
And on a side note, I don’t know when it happened but sometime after my mother stopped working she has suddenly become a food pusher and wants to cook all the time, so she made a huge crock pot of sausage and meatballs, which after eating it for the past three days is now frozen in my freezer. Then my cousin’s Mike & Chris requested one of her fabulous apple pies and a T-shirt that reads “Will Work for Pie”. So my mother made them the pie the next day! I am currently working on the T-shirt design for them hopefully I will give it to them before Christmas. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Product of growing up in the 80's

I received this list in a email and I had to smile. It reminded me of just how fashionally challenged we all were in the 80's and we thought we were cool, but looking back all's i can say is "what were we thinking?" Here are my favorites that I can totally agree with.
Fashion:
You tight rolled your jeans. - YES

You owned a banana clip. - YES
You had big hair and you knew how to use it. - YES
Girls wore biker shorts under their skirts and felt stylishly sexy.
Two words: Hammer Pants
You wore a ponytail on the side of your head- YES

You made your mom buy one of those clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.
You wore stonewashed Jordache jean jackets and were proud of it.
L.A. Gear. Need I say more?
You ever wore fluorescent clothing. (Some of us...head-to-toe)
You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks. - YES
You wore socks scrunched down - YES
You ever owned a pair of Jelly-Shoes. (And probably in neon colors, too) - YES

Homemade Levi shorts... (The shorter the better)
You remember when mullets were cool!
Trends:
You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF"
You’ve ever ended a sentence with the word "SIKE”
You still get the urge to say "NOT" after every sentence.
After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know you are, but what am I?"
You remember “I've fallen and I can't get up" (I LOVE THIS ONE!)
You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool.
You remember "Where's the Beef?"
You used to (and probably still do) say "What you talkin' about Willis?"

He's Just Not Into You

That was the line in an episode of my all time favorite show Sex & the City, when Miranda comes to terms that it definity is not her but him, when the man she is dating is "just not that into you". So apparently this writer for the show wrote a book, which I have yet to read, but i think I should I keep hearing so much about it. But anyway the point of this post is that now Drew Barrymore will be making a movie based on this book.

Clerks 2 – A Sighting

Sweet! When I was out on my lunch break on my way to Panera I saw a movie being filmed! Yes Kevin Smith does NJ again, he is filming Clerks 2. Check out my paparzzi photo taken on my cell phone at right, Kevin is in the red jacket... They were on Rt. 35 North in Middletown right by Kings Hwy at the Circus Liquors, I recognized Kevin right away, but did not see any celebrities, darn! Rosario Dawson, Jason Lee, and the usual cast of View Askew players star in this film. How awesome is that! Another reason to love NJ!

Fake Reality TV

I hate fake reality TV, yet I watch it religiously. What is fake reality TV you ask? I would classify Laguna Beach on MTV http://www.mtv.com/onair/laguna_beach/season2/main.jhtml in this category. I love Laguna Beach, the actual town, I have been there a bunch of times and it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. However, I was extremely disappointed with the Laguna Beach the series finale last night, because I did not get my drama fix. I WANT MORE! There just is not enough drama on this show to satisfy my appetite. They film this group of teenagers for eight months and then chop up clips to create this fake-ass story line that never goes anywhere. I get more satisfaction out of the Real World, The Apprentice, or Making the Band then this show, why is that? Sorry just wanted to vent :)

Do We Need a New Slogan?

As a Jersey Girl born and raised, i am so tired of NJ getting a bad rep. It seems NJ is always the butt of jokes and now this acting Governor Cody makes it worse by creating a contest for a new state slogan. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10043959/
I asked the other day what's wrong with the Garden State, and one of my co-workers, obviously not from NJ, asked "Where are the Gardens?". Just goes to show you how ignorant people really are. NJ is a beautiful state! If people got out a little and explored they would realize this.
